Just Call Me "The Count"

You all remember the story of the Count of Monte Cristo, right? Innocent man, wrongfully sentenced to prison, then seeks revenge on his wrongdoers. Well this is the cigar that is seeking revenge on the the statement that "girls don't smoke cigars".

I think more dudes might be reading this section of our site, but hey that's cool too. So Emily and I love a good cigar, and we get pretty excited about a wine and cigar night. Over the past few months we've tried a few, and some have stuck out more than others-; this is one of those that really impressed me.

This cigar was a game changer for me. A new go-to. The Montecristo White Series. This particular cigar was recommended to me by a cigar aficionado and someone who's opinion I would most definitely trust. He swore by it, so I got a handful for Christmas Eve with the family, and then again for my birthday this last weekend. My family always has cigars and either scotch or brandy on Christmas Eve, so we gave this particular cigar a shot and bought one for everyone.

Needless to say they were a hit. The cigar comes in a white tube that is lined with cedar, and it is a light to medium, flavorful smoke. Perfect for any occasion. Whether you are a newbie or a veteran cigar smoker, this cigar is a perfect mellow smoke.

From the aroma, to the flavor. to the way it burns, I didn't have one complaint about the Montecristo white series. It is incredibly smooth and creamy. It has hints of almond and spices as well as even a bit of a coffee taste to it.

The way this cigar burned is part of what really impressed me. You could smoke over half the cigar without it ashing. It was flawless. I highly recommend for those who don't like the super robust, peppery cigars, or for those who just want a lighter, flavorful smoke.

If you aren't a cigar smoker but maybe are interested or want to give it a try, this would be the perfect starter. It is a little on the pricier side at around $15, but due to the quality of this cigar, I would spend the money.

Pair this cigar with a good scotch and you're straight chillin. My recommendation: Macallan 12 year or Glenlivet 12 year.
