Let's Wine About It

Down to the thick of it we go. Wine! It is just what most of us do as women (and men can too, no hatin' here) but whether you are being fancy, mellow, celebrating....wine is your pal. Hannah and I have tried quite a few, quite....a....few.... and we are looking forward to reviewing some of these for you. A good glass of wine can mellow you out. A fantastic glass of wine amongst friends can literally create memories that last forever. A toast with a great glass of wine can mark a major life event, as if it were the arbiter. Let us not forget the fabulous business of wine tastings! By the way, this may be the girliest you hear me get!

I wish I had the patience to get to know wine on a more personal level. Don't get me wrong, wine and I have been very personal close friends for a while now. However, I mean, what are the subtleties of the wines? What winery did a particular one come from and why does the soil matter? All of this can come with time I suppose, but I am purely a taste by taste girl and I have found myself saying that I don't care for a particular type of wine, then I try it from a different company and end up loving it. So I decided a while ago to just take on the wine world one glass at a time.

The first wine I wanted to review, I could not rave about more. Mostly because it is just cool. The taste is super bold as well. 19 Crimes, has been named 'Wine Brand of the Year' by leading US wine industry title Market Watch. If you have not gone over to their website yet you 100% must. The concept of featuring convicts who were to be found guilty of one of the 19 crimes and to be known as British "rouges" is just too rad to not be into. I will even make this better and say, this wine is just so good. In my opinion, this is the type of wine that sparks a conversation you actually want to be part of. Plus, as a party trick, you can download their app and watch the bottles come to life! No joke. Again, all of the information is on their website (link in the picture) and truly go discover one of the hippest wines out there right now. Trader Joe's prices are always my go to, but an average bottle will run you about $12.00.

Hooray for tempranillos!!!! I discovered this awesome red wine at a winery in Temecula, CA over a bachelorette party weekend with a girlfriend. I immediately fell in love. What was this amazing taste? It wasn't too sweet and it left me wanting more; it was even a bit spicy at the end of the full taste pulling across my tongue. I can say with all honesty, it was the first wine I have tried that I truly was instantly attracted to. Now, I am a nobody when it comes to finding good wine, but I'd like to think that this particular blend was a wine-wakening for me. I was open to truly trying all different types after this one, hoping to recreate this reaction to other wines over and over again. Trader Joe's has a great price on some great Tempranillo's. The featured picture above is my personal favorite.

Alright all my wine peeps out there. Get out and go pick one of these great bottles and sip away! Keep your eye on our future wine reviews as we look forward to reviewing them for you! Cheers!!!
